GeoVartha, Geo means Earth in Greek + Vartha means Information in Sanskrit, is a community based research group which focuses on the geoscientific subject.
We commit to explore and spread the most advanced development of geoscientific technology by keeping up with the technology development in the geoscientific subject and proposing solutions based on the continual R&D.
Our goal is to establish a platform to assist geoscientists around the world for accessing the latest technology in geoscience research.

IZZUL QUDSI
Geoscientist / Group Coordinator
Izzul has 8+ years experiences in oil & gas industry. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering Universitas Padjajaran and master’s degree in ITC Universiteit Twente. He is a geoscientist with expertise on the surface and subsurface workflow applications for geothermal and oil and gas exploration. Currently learning the implementation of machine learning on geoscientific subjects.
Research interests: Geophysics, Machine Learning, Geothermal, Remote Sensing.
PRAVIANDY GUSTANDIKA
Reservoir Engineer / Full Stack Developer
Vian has 2 years experiences in oil & gas industry. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering Curtin University and master’s degree in Reservoir Evaluation & Management Heriott-Watt University. He is a reservoir engineer with expertise in reservoir modelling and simulation with interest in software and web development.
Research interest: History Matching, Reservoir Simulation.
MUHAMAD REZA NOVIARDI
Research Analyst / Content Specialist
Reza has 5 years experiences in oil & gas industry. He completed both his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Geophysical Engineering Institut Teknologi Bandung. He has expertise in seismic processing, marine seismic, and oil and gas exploration.
Research interest: Seismic Data Processing and Enhancement.
RAHMANTARA TRICHANDI
Seismologist / Energy analyst
Chandi has 4 years experiences in seismology & seismic subsurface imaging and 2 years experiences as energy analyst. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Geophysical Engineering Institut Teknologi Bandung and master’s degree in TU Delft. He is now a Doctoral Candidate at GFZ-Postdam. He has Expertise in active and seismic data processing, bayesian inversion, and scientific programming with Python and Matlab.
Research interest: Seismology, Near-Surface Geophysics, Energy Economy, and Energy Policy.
JOHN PAPILON STEVEN GUNTORO
Geophysicist / Data Scientist
Steven has 5 years in oil & gas industry. He completed both his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Geophysics University of Southampton. He is now a Doctoral Candidate at University of Aberdeen. He is a geophysicist with expertise in data science and geophysical data analysis.
Research Interests : Automated data analysis, Explainable Artificial Intelligence, Seismic data analysis.
MORDEKHAI
Geophysicist / Data Scientist
Dekha has 5 years experiences in hazard mitigation and oil & gas industries. He completed both his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Geophysical Engineering Institut Teknologi Bandung. He is a geophysicist with expertise in geophysical data analysis, subsurface data management and analytics.
Research interest: Geophysical Data Processing/Enhancement, Machine Learning in Well Log and Seismic Data, Spatial Data Mapping/Prediction, Catastrophe Risk Modelling.
INDRA KURNIAWAN
Geophysicist / Geohazard Specialist
Indra has 2 years experiences in oil & gas industry as geophysicist and 3 years experiences in geohazard survey as marine geoscientist. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Geophysics Universitas Indonesia and master’s degree in Structural Geology University of Leeds. He has expertise in seismic data processing, petrophysics, and geophysical-geotechnical data interpretation.
Research interest: Near-Surface Geophysics, Petrophysics, and Geohazard.
